MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of MICHIANA PET ADVOCACY CENTER is to heighten community awareness of high kill shelters in the Michiana area, and advocate for improved legislation, policies, and standards by which these shelters operate. MICHIANA PET ADVOCACY CENTER believes every pet has a right to life, comfort, care, and true humane treatment.
BELIEFS AND OBJECTIVES
MICHIANA PET ADVOCACY CENTER believes in the power of the citizens in Michiana. MPAC believes that everyone in our community deserves to hear the truth about our shelters’ 90%+ kill rate, and the lack of importance South Bend places on its animal control efforts. We believe that the kind of care Michiana provides for homeless and abandoned pets in our shelters should be at least equal to the pet care shelters demand of pet owners.
Our objectives are simple. MPAC will save as many lives as possible through adoptions, placing pets with other rescue groups, taking in emergency cases, and helping in whatever way we can. MPAC will advocate for changes by simply disclosing the truth, facts, and realities that have become status quo in our community for far too long.
We will be the voice for those who cannot speak.
Euthanasia: The act or practice of killing or permitting the death of hopelessly sick or injured animals in a painless way for reasons of mercy.
This is MURDER. This is from ONE day at your local shelter.
